Joe Connor is the latest ex-Bull to join Southport, taking the tally to seven.
The former Macclesfield and Stockport man, who had time at Edgar Street on loan in the 2012/13 season, joins Dom Collins, Micah Evans, Daniel Lloyd-Weston, Richard Brodie, Andy Porter, and boss Martin Foyle at the Sandgrounders.
Southport beat Port Vale, including ex-Bulls Mark Marshall and Steve Jennings, 4-2 in their last pre-season friendly on Saturday afternoon.
