Bristol Rovers' plan to redevelop their Memorial Ground home as a supermarket has been put to a Judicial Review. The review will consider the validity of the planning permission granted for the project, delaying the redevelopment further. Coventry had around just 1,000 fans for their opening 'home' match yesterday. Meanwhile, a reported 8,000 were at the Ricoh Arena for a legends match played at the same time.

Southport say midfielder Karl Ledsham has been taken off the transfer list at his own request. He had been seeking a move to a full time side. The Sandgrounders are expected to be without defender Chris Lynch for the season after being diagnosed with a cruciate ligament injury, but have signed former Blackburn striker Osayamen Osawe to their squad. The 19 year old had loan spells at Accrington and Hyde last term.

Ahead of their collapse at Forest Green, Hyde signed defender Adam Blakeman. The 21 year old was previously with Bolton. Also signing new deals are keeper David Carnell and midfielder David McNiven, while six of the club's Academy side have signed on for first team duty. Aldershot have lost the services of midfielder Adam Mekki for several weeks after he fractured his collarbone in their draw at Grimsby.

Wrexham boss Andy Morrell is reported to have offered an improved deal to trialist defender Junior N'Tame. Former Bulls winger Joe Anyinsah is also reported to have received an offer from the Dragons, having trialed with Aldershot earlier in the summer, but may not make a decision for two weeks with his wife due to deliver a new baby. Barnet have signed goalkeeper Nick Jupp. The 24 year old spent the last two seasons with St Albans.

Womens Premier League side Nottingham Forest Ladies say they will be forced to close if they cannot find a sponsor for the coming season. The WPL season starts in two weeks, but the club will close in the next seven days without backing. Alfreton have signed striker John Akinde following his release from Portsmouth earlier in the summer. Bristol City paid £140,000 for the then 18 year old but, now 24, the former Ebbsfleet man has drifted back down the divisions.
