Chester Travel – Tuesday 13th August

Chester City v Hereford United
Skrill Premier
Tuesday 13th August 2013 KO 7.45pm
Exacta Stadium
Bumpers Lane
Chester
CH1 4LT
Phone 01244 371376

The Exacta (formally Deva) Stadium has a capacity of 5376 of which 4500 are seated.  The ground was opened in 1992 and little will have changed since The Bulls’ last visit in October 2007 when the game ended 1-1.

Visiting fans are accommodated in the Swansway Chester Stand at one end of the ground.  The former covered terrace is now all-seated with admission expected to be £16 for adults, £11 for concessions (Seniors, students and unemployed with proof), £6 for U18s (ID), £3 for U16s and free for U5s.

The ground is a little way out of the City and offers little by way of nearby alehouses.  The Club bar does, however, sometimes admit visiting fans.  The usual footy catering is available in the away end.

HUISA – departs from Radford’s at 4.30pm with a fare of £13 (non-members £15).  Seats can be booked through The Club office (08442 761939).

BY CAR – Subject to traffic, it’s probably best to use the A49 (the alternative being M5, M6, M56) to Shrewsbury.  The choice is then to use the A5 to Oswestry and north on the A483 or to bypass Shrewsbury (A49 North) to Whitchurch and take the A41 from Whitchurch Bypass.  Either way, the distance is between 95 and 100 miles and you should allow over two hours.  Postcode is CH1 4LT

On arrival at Chester drive through the centre following signs for Sealand Industrial Estate turning off Sealand Road into Bumpers Lane.

PARKING – there is plenty of parking at the ground (£1) but departure can be delayed due to heavy post-match traffic.

ALEHOUSES – plentiful in the City centre but non-existent in Bumpers Lane.
