£1M Plus From Selling Land Says Keyte

David Keyte has told BBC Hereford and Worcester that the Bulls could make over £1M from selling land at the two ends of Edgar Street.

"The numbers that are being talked about will be, at the basic level of effectively just selling the land which we would have permission through the leases to do, in excess of £1M for the two ends in total, minimum," said the Hereford United chairman.

"We are actively looking at every expenditure in the club. There are some things we have been spending on in the last three years that will stop.

"And, if we can get to a position when we are balancing our books from a Saturday afternoon product plus the off pitch income from the bars which has taken us forward.

"Then the sale of the land and the development on it is a plus for us.

"That should set us up for a few years and we would have different decisions to make.

"We could put more into the playing budget to try and get back into the league because that step-change to football league funding takes you on another stage.

"There's nothing stopping us getting into the play-offs this year."
