Tate Campbell |
Midfielder Tate Campbell has signed for Buxton.
After joining Hereford last summer from Birmingham City, hoping to find his love for football again, the 22-year-old made 45 appearances and scored six goals.
He was offered a deal to stay but opted for a move instead. He joins Sammy Robinson at the National League North side, who switched to full-time last summer.
In a statement issued on Friday, Campbell said: "I’ve learnt so much from my time at Edgar Street and have found my love for the game once again. A place with great people throughout."
He added: "A huge thank you to the fans who have embraced me from the start. Stuck with me from start to finish and I have really felt the backing and appreciation from you all. Some great memories and made Edgar Street, somewhere I will always remember fondly."
Buxton's average attendance last season was 784, falling as low as 418 in March when Spennymoor visited, but have signed some key players so far this summer.
Not only are Campbell and Robinson now on the books, but the club - which reached the play-offs last season - have signed 23-year-old centre-back George Ward who was Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Year at Leamington. They also retained 10 players from last season's squad.
