Harry Pell Watching The Bulls At Braintree Last Saturday |
Pell believes his goal count with improve once he is paired with fellow recent signing Peter Sweeney. Sweeney, 28 and with over 250 career appearances, is - according to Pell - the most experienced man he has played with, despite the former Charlton man playing with Kenny Lunt (500 appearances) and Rob Purdie (300 apps) last season:
“As a player, I’ve never played with an experienced pro alongside me, and with Sweens [Peter Sweeney] he’s obviously a very technical player that you can trust on the ball." He told the Hounslow Chronicle;
“He does the playmaking and it gives me the opportunity to bomb forward. They know that I’ve got the legs to get forward and hopefully I can add a few more goals to my game."
Meanwhile, Toumani Diagouraga has signed a new two year deal with Brentford. Now 25, the Frenchman has surpassed 150 appearances for the Bees.
In other news, Mathieu Manset is reported to be trialling with Crystal Palace after a reserve match with Leeds. Palace boss Ian Holloway told the local press of an unnamed French forward he has on trial:
“He can definitely change things and win things on his own if he wants to bother, so I’m having a think about it because that won’t count as another loan but he will have to be good enough.
“He is certainly good in one aspect, is he good in the other?"
