Results Round-Up

It wasn't all FA Cup football today, with two matches taking place in the Conference. Gateshead beat Woking 2-1 to move up to 8th in the table, while Grimsby won 1-0 at Tamworth to go third.

In the FA Cup, eight non-league sides are through for definite to the Second Round. Isthmian League side Hastings beat Bishops Stortford 2-1 to be the lowest ranked side definitely through. Fellow minnows Yate lost 3-0 at Cheltenham, while Arlesey and Bromley both went down by the same scoreline at Coventry and Fleetwood respectively. The Met Police went down 2-1 at home to Crawley, while Hendon lost 2-1 at Aldershot and Bradford PA lost 3-1 at Doncaster.

Conf South Chelmsford beat League One Colchester 3-1 to progress, while Conf North Harrogate won 1-0 at Torquay to upset the odds.

Of the Conference sides to get results Alfreton won 4-2 at Wrexham, Barrow face a replay after a 2-2 draw with Guiseley, and Lincoln travel to Walsall after a 1-1 draw. Tuesday's opponent Luton also face a replay after a 1-1 draw with Nuneaton, and Mansfield had a goalless draw with Slough.

But win of the round, apart from our own, probably goes to Macclesfield for their 2-0 win at Swindon.
