Hereford United manager Jamie Pitman gave starts to new loan signing Bryon Anthony and also the experienced Kenny Lunt this afternoon. Anthony was unlucky not to score on his debut for the Bulls when, late in the game, he headed the ball onto the cross-bar.
"I felt (Anthony) did very well," Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"Considering he only came in on Thursday, he got into his slot well, defended when he needed to.
"Took him about twenty minutes to get into it but I thought he did really well once he got into it.
"And he nearly got a draw for us as well."
Lunt, pictured, had his first start since October 8th. That game was away at Swindon and ended in a 3-3 draw.
"I thought he did very well, filled the holes I expected him to fill.
"Gave us a little bit of composure at times.
"At times he was probably erratic but that comes from not playing.
"He'll only get better."
Meanwhile it has been confirmed that Michael Townsend will serve a two match ban after being sent off at Aldershot last Tuesday evening. This should mean he can play against Gillingham on February 28th.
