Some Alarming Statistics

During BBC Hereford and Worcester's reports from Edgar Street this afternoon, reporter Keith Hall came up with some alarming facts.

"There are fifteen games remaining to save Hereford United's Football League status," said Hall.

"It's going to be a real dog fight.

"Pitman is talking about 50 points to secure safety. That means we've got to get 23 more points from just 15 matches.

"I'm not sure with four or five clubs involved it will need quite as many points as that. Hereford has got to start winning games.

"And the big stat is that Hereford have won 6 of the last 36 games. 2 of the last 16.

"The most home defeats in English football with Nottingham Forest, now 11.

"And they've conceeded 33 goals at home, that is a new club record equalled by the 1993/94 season.

"Doom and gloom."
