The Bulls are entering into a run of games that will define their season.
After playing four of the promotion candidates in their last five games, they now face a run of matches against some of the out of form sides in the division.
There is no denying recent results haven't been good, but considering the sides we faced include three of the top four and the seventh placed side suggests they weren't going to be the easiest set of matches. But we ran most of the sides close, with Swindon fansite The Washbag remarking at the end of Saturday's game "All I can say is that we were lucky to win that one".
However the next five games are against sides that are out of form and suffering their own crises.
Before Gillingham - five straight losses and a manager under pressure to gain automatic promotion, a feat now 17 points beyond them - is Bradford, who recorded a first win in six at the weekend utilizing 'hoofball' tactics. Except their targetman is now injured for six weeks.
After that the Bulls are home to Wimbledon, a side that have collected just thirteen points from their last eighteen games, before travelling to Macclesfield. Their seven game losing streak comes as part of a run that has seen them collect just one win in fifteen games.
We finish the run at Morecambe. After a storming start to the season, Jim Bentley has seen his side win just two of fourteen games. In nine of those games they have conceded two or more goals.
All five of these games are winnable. If we return to Edgar Street on March 3rd for the Wimbledon match with no more points on the board then drastic action has to be on the cards.
