Evans to Face Former Club

Hereford United's Will Evans will play against his former club for the first time tomorrow since leaving the County Ground last autumn.

Evans usually plays in mid-field but can also play in the heart of defence. With Michael Townsend suspended and Stefan Stam out, the 20 year old will have to partner Ryan Green tomorrow.

"Will's obviously played at centre-half so he might have to drop back into there," manager Jamie Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"Unfortunately we have a few injuries to players and we have to try to make something of it."

Meanwhile Evans has spoken to the Swindon Advertiser.

"I have no hard feelings towards anyone at Swindon and I left on good terms with all the people there, but of course I still want to prove a point and show my ability," he said.

"I didn’t have the chance to show the fans what I am like so I am looking forward to being able to do that tomorrow.

"I would have liked to have carried on playing for them but Hereford were more than willing to offer first team football and I had to take that opportunity.

"But I am really looking forward to the game and it will be great to catch up with some familiar faces.

"The defeat to Aldershot was disappointing but we have been on a decent little run overall recently.

"We know what Swindon are all about so we will just aim to do our best and hopefully get a result."
