Andy Todd could be offered a longer deal with Hereford United if he can become fully match fit.
37 year old Todd played his first competitive game this season last Saturday alongside Stefan Stam in the heart of defence.
Manager Jamie Pitman said after the game he was very happy with Todd's performance.
"I thought he was fantastic," said Pitman.
"He reads the game very well and gets into good positions. Defending is all about getting your position and he does that very well."
Todd is on non-contract terms at present but Pitman has hinted he could be offered a more permanent deal.
"It's a month at the moment," Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester earlier today.
"We'll see how he gets on because he hasn't been playing this year.
"If he shows what is he capable of doing I'm sure it will be longer than just a month."
