News Round-Up

Macclesfield have agreed to extend the loan of striker George Donnelly from Fleetwood for a further two months. The extension will not happen until the start of November so the player can play the Christmas period, with the move coming with a view to a permanent January deal. Rotherham gave a trial to Crystal Palace midfielder Alasanne N'Diaye yesterday, but he lasted just 45 minutes before being hauled off with the Millers three goals down. He was sent back from Southend earlier in the season after a dressing room bust up.

Accrington are to make off field staff cutbacks as the club is currently losing money. They hope to make sufficient cuts in reducing hours rather than making people redundant. Cheltenham have extended the loan of goalkeeper Jack Butland for two further months. The England u21 man has played four times during his opening month on loan from Birmingham.

Bristol Rovers chairman Nick Higgs has told supporters that he believes their relegation - eight years ago - is the cause of their current problems as the club 'never properly recovered' from the drop despite subsequently briefly returning to League One. Manager Paul Buckle has offered former caretaker boss Stuart Campbell a permanent coaching role with the club. Buckle has also sent some of his injured players to a private clinic in a bid to cure their problems.

Burton midfielder Jacques Maghoma will miss another six weeks after being diagnosed with ankle ligament damage. The former Bulls trialist has already missed two games with the problem, with a scan showing the full extent of the damage. Plymouth bidder James Brent has made a 'final offer' to the club's staff over payment of back wages. The deal has been backed by the PFA, with long serving keeper Romain Larrieu telling the press that they have been paid just 12% of September's wages.

Southend are trialling former Plymouth defender Krisztian Timar, who had an unsuccessful trial with Bristol Rovers last week, and striker Yannick Boli, who played in the French top flight for PSG and Le Havre.
