News Round-Up

Plymouth have had moves for two loan players blocked by the Football League. Under Administration rules clubs can sign up to 20 players, and the Pilgrims have 18, but the FL have told them that as they are not paying their current staff they are not allowed to have any more. Their problems could get worse with Gillingham considering recalling defender Simon King from his loan at Home Park due to their own injury problems after defender Barry Spiller was ruled out for three months.

Wimbledon have extended the loan of West Ham defender Callum McNaughton for a second month. The 19 year old has played six times in his first month at Kingsmeadow. Accrington say they will let Tranmere score a goal at the start of their JPT rematch after the original game was abandoned due to the injury to defender Tom Bender. Boss John Coleman says Tranmere deserved to win that match, and were leading 2-1 at the time.

Ex-Bull Nick Chadwick scored as Stockport drew 2-2 at Cambridge in a Conference match last night. Bristol Rovers have signed Wycombe striker Scott Rendell on loan for a month. The 24 year old scored 19 times last season but has started only two of 11 League matches this term. Southend have rejected the chance to sign Brentford winger Kirk Hudson after trialling him for four days.

Aldershot have signed winger Adam Smith from Mansfield on a months loan. The 26 year old former Chesterfield trainee has made just three sub appearances for the Stags this season. Bradford have signed Dutch defender Marcel Seip on a three month deal. The 29 year old left Plymouth in the summer after five years.
