According to the Sun, Newcastle United are considering a £5M offer for former Hereford United striker Gary Hooper who is currently with Celtic.
The offer could be made during the January transfer window.
Hooper joined Celtic for a reported £2M from Scunthorpe. They out-bid Graham Turner, when he was in charge at Edgar Street, for the former Southend player. The fee was said to be just £125,000.
