Northampton have loaned midfielder Ryan Gilligan to Newport until January. The 24 year old has spent the last six years with the Cobblers, but is surplus to boss Gary Johnson's requirements. Accrington have offered striker Ian Thomas-Moore a non-contract deal but the veteran rejected it. The former Rotherham man is looking for a contract near his North West home.
Port Vale bidder Mo Chaudry has withdrawn his bid, claiming his attempts to take over the club is 'an impossible task'. Meanwhile club director Glenn Oliver, one of the men Chaudry ally Mark Sims wanted to resign, has said he will step down at the next AGM in December. The club maintain that new investment is incoming that will see both Oliver and former chairman Bill Bratt leave the board.
