Southend say they have received confirmation from the taxman that they are withdrawing the winding-up petition brought after they paid their last installment late. Bradford are chasing Man United for payment over new England call-up Tom Cleverley. The 21 year old has been loaned out three times by the Premier League club, earning them fees each times, and the Bantams believe their deal when they sold him to Old Trafford entitles them to a cut.

Former Rotherham striker Ian Thomas-Moore is to train with Accrington this week as he continues to look for a new club. The veteran forward has told his twitter followers he wants a side within 45 minutes of his north west home. Former Bulls defender Andy Tretton has joined Shrewsbury's commercial department. Tretton, who retired four years ago after a spell at Accrington, will help co-ordinate the Shrews' executive club.

Plymouth fans have organised a 'save our club' meeting on Saturday to continue their 'plan B' rescue of the club. Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle and Chairman Peter Ridsdale will both be in attendance after Guilfoyle failed yesterday to force bidders Bishop International to pay up August's wages. Bradford have signed Watford winger Michael Bryan on loan until January. The 21 year old has played a dozen times for Watford's first team.

Telford's game with Luton, scheduled for this Saturday, has now been postponed after twice having it's kick-off time changed. The EDL are planning a march on the same afternoon less than a mile from the stadium. The opening Conference match of the season between Forest Green and Stockport will be free to air on Premier Sport, Sky channel 433, with coverage starting at 7.15pm.

Stockport are offering a unique deal to their fans for their home match with Ebbsfleet - a refund if the Hatters lose. Having signed a shirt deal with a firm of ambulance chasers, they will offer a 'no win, no fee' deal to fans with the sponsors picking up the bill.
