A Bradford fan site states that club sources say they would have to go into Administration to escape their lease on Valley Parade if talks over lowering the rent fail to produce the required outcome. Finances are so tight at the club that they will not be making an overnight stop when they travel to Southend this weekend. Lincoln have sent loan defender Stephen Hunt back to Notts County after he picked up an ankle injury.

Port Vale bidder Mo Chaudry has joined forces with businessman Mark Sims to sidestep the club's ownership rules. They plan to each buy the maximum 24.9% of the club, then use their exisiting support from shareholders to vote out the limitation. Tamworth caretaker boss Des Lyttle has quit the club after the club's board planned to bring in Martin Foyle to act as advisor. The Lambs are just a single point clear of the Conference relegation zone.

Darlington have sold defender Dan Burn to Fulham for an undisclosed fee. The 18 year old 6ft 6in central defender has made only 14 appearances for the Quakers' first team. Kidderminster say they could be debt-free by August after owing £155,000 in February. They are in negotiations with the local council about taking over a nearby car park to generate funds.

Morecambe striker Paul Mullin has retired at the age of 37 due to a back injury. The veteran ex-Accrington man hasn't played since February after suffering a slipped disc in his back. Northampton have appointed midfielder Andy Holt as player-coach. The 33 year old has played over 200 times for the Cobblers since joining them five years ago.

Bury have had loan defender Richard Eckersley recalled by Burnley so he could take up a chance to play in the MLS under Paul Mariner.
