Rotherham striker Tom Pope's immediate future is in doubt after he was confirmed to be one of three players arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Former Bulls loanee Lee Collins and fellow Port Vale player Gary Roberts were the other two arrested after a disturbance outside a nightclub in Stafford. All three have been bailed and the Police are seeking witnesses.
Pope, recently recalled by the Millers after a loan spell at Vale Park, was previously convicted of assault in 2009. He was given a six month suspended sentence for that attack which has only recently expired. Rotherham are yet to release a statement, but it will be an unwelcome start to new manager Andy Scott's reign.
