Bury are the highest of three sides on 37 points after drawing 1-1 with Southend on Friday night, with Gillingham drawing 1-1 with Torquay and Cheltenham joining them on that mark. Oxford's hopes were dented with a 2-1 loss at Northampton.
In the Conference AFC Wimbledon are top again by a single point after a 5-0 demolition of Southport, with Crawley held to a goalless draw at Grimsby. Rushden beat Newport 3-1 to dent their promotion bid, and Fleetwood could only draw 1-1 with strugglers Hayes and Yeading. Kidderminster beat Barrow 2-0, while Forest Green lost 2-1 at York.
