Clarke Charged With Betting Breach

Former Bulls defender, and current Halesowen manager, Matt Clarke has been charged by the FA after betting on matches he was involved in.

Clarke has been charged with 25 breaches of the rules after betting on a variety of matches involving his then Redditch side between 2007 and 2009. Former teammates Howard Forinton and Scott Rickards, now a player for Clarke at the Yeltz, have each received two charges under similar circumstances.

All three players have admitted betting on a match between Redditch and Stalybridge at the end of the 07/08 season and will be sanctioned in July.

Meanwhile ex-Bull Moses Ashikodi has left Ebbsfleet and returned to Kettering. He quit the Poppies under a cloud in after a series of disciplinary incidents in January, but has returned after scoring 11 times in 14 games for relegated Ebbsfleet.
