Hereford United chairman Graham Turner has given an update about the proposed share sale.
"We are progressing with one prospective party very nicely," Turner told the OS.
"We had a phone call in the week from someone who was interested in joining up with anyone else who was interested in taking the shares and I got to say he was a interesting person and so it might finish up as a bit of a consortium of people getting involved.
"Again I emphasis that what we want to do is leave it in the right hands, to the sort of people that are going to continue with the work that we've tried to do over the last fifteen years.
"I think the game is changing and clubs outlooks are beginning to change in terms of more and more will live within their means.
"I think we will see a lot more restraint in terms of wage levels, size of squads. Clubs will be run more as businesses, more within their means."
Turner refused to reveal any information about any potential purchasers of the shares.
"When you get to this stage there are confidentiality agreements - anything in the public domain that's fine, but there are obviously contracts, personnel things and issues within the club that wouldn't be any good to be in the public domain.
"There will come a time as we progress then we will make a public statement that there is a consortium, there is an individual who is very interested in taking over the club and that final talks are taking place. It won't be until the final talks are taking place that we announce who they may be.
"I'm warned that it takes a long time to get things settled. But at the same time I think the people we are talking to are conscious of the value of time at this stage in the year when the season is nearly over, players contracts, new players, new manager, all those things have got to take place. There is a degree of urgency about getting something done."
