We are not taking our chances - Turner

Hereford United manager Graham Turner has said that the Bulls have to take their chances in front of goal. Speaking after last night's 1-0 defeat by Morecambe Turner said that the side also needed a bit of luck.

"We just need a little luck," Turner told the Sun.

"Throughout the game I thought we got the ball into reasonable areas, plenty of ball into the box.

"We should have made more of the chances. Ryan Valentine and Darren Jones both had clear headed chances.

"I can't fault the players efforts but what I would like to see is someone getting on the end of one of the crosses, one of the set-pieces and giving us a break.

"We are having chances but we are not taking them."

Meanwhile Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy praised veteran defender Jim Bentley.

"He's fully committed, great with his head both defensively and in front of goal - basically he's Mr Morecambe."

Finally Turner was asked about the vacant managers position at Edgar Street.

"We'll take stock and then decide what we are going to do, " he told the official site.

"In the meantime we have a game against Bradford on Saturday."
