The Bulls lost today's League Two match 2-0 to Macclesfield at Edgar Street.
The 211 Silkmen fans in the 1,919 crowd went home happy, the remainder went home mostly before the final whistle. Another debatable starting line up, with a series of apparently fit and healthy players not even making the bench, put in an abject performance that did little to invite fans to watch the remaining home games.
While the Macc keeper was forced into a couple of good saves, a half-hearted performance would have brushed aside the Silkmen with ease. The Bulls failed to even manage that level and the result was beyond doubt when the Silkmen scored a second to earn the three points.
The Bulls slip back to 18th, and their safety gap is down to 11 points.
