Morecambe have named their new stadium the Globe Arena after securing a five year sponsorship deal with the construction company building it. The club have also unveiled a new crest, featuring a shrimp on a red shield, as they cannot merchandise the exisiting badge as it belongs to the local council. Torquay are to sign Plymouth striker Ashley Barnes on loan til the end of the season. The 20 year old has a handful of first team appearances for the Championship club to his name.
Rotherham have loaned defender Andy Nicholas to Mansfield for the rest of the season. The former Swindon man has only had a bit part for the Millers this term. Dagenham have extended the loan of Portsmouth's teenage midfielder Marlon Pack for a second month. Macclesfield have loaned transfer listed Lincoln midfielder Richard Butcher for a month.
Chester are reported to have sold only 30 tickets for Sunday's derby match with Wrexham, with the fans group staging a boycott of the club. The Police are also claimed to be demanding £2,500 in charges up front for the game or it will not go ahead. Meanwhile Wrexham fans have staged a protest after the club employed two people with convictions for scamming a charity.
