Support The Bulls This Afternoon

Life isn't easy at Hereford United at present. Just four points from seven games has made the start to the season one of the worst for many years.

As ever in these situations, many supporters have been giving their opinions on the present poor state of affairs on the forums and to the press. The general concenus seems to be that this afternoon's game against Accrington Stanley is a must win match not only to put an end to the awful run of 16 league games without a win but also to take the pressure off both management and players at Edgar Street.

So for a couple of hours this afternoon supporters should put aside their different views, get behind the team and help them register their league first win of the campaign.

As one said - "I'm a Hereford United fan and I will back them in whatever circumstances they find themselves in."

Meanwhile manager John Trewick is looking for plenty of encouragement.

"If players hear the fans behind them and willing them on it means a great deal," said Trewick.

"I'm sure everybody will get behind the team and give us the lift we need."

Chairman Graham Turner has also said that he hopes supporters will back the team this afternoon.

"Whatever supporters personal feelings are, whatever the issues with the players, with the management, whatever it may be, the most important thing is to get behind the team.

"If there are issues afterwards then it's up to the supporters, but during the course of the game I'd like to see a lot of support for the players."

As it is a home game there will not be any commentary on BBC Hereford and Worcester but there will be reports from Edgar Street for supporters unable to watch the game live.
