News Round Up

Notts County have signed Colchester midfielder Johnnie Jackson on a three year deal. He had two years left on his U's deal, but fell out with management over the position he was to be played in. The Magpies have been turned down by Dietmar Hamann, with the former Liverpool man rejecting a player/coach role to stay in the Premiership. They have also been linked to Kettering defender Exodus Geohagan.

Ex-Bull Danny Thomas is expected to finalise a permanent deal with Kettering later today. He signed non-contract terms last week and scored in their weekend loss to AFC Wimbledon. Torquay have loaned Mark Ellis and Steve Adams to Forest Green for a month. Neither has played for the Gulls this season and only made a handful of appearances last term.

No Bulls in this week's Team of the Week. Tonight's opponents Bury have defender Ben Futcher in the side, along with two each from Notts County and Dagenham. Gary Hooper is named in the Championship side for his two goal weekend burst.

Stockport's prospective owner Jim Melrose has denied his takeover of the club is in trouble after one of his consortium quit the bid. Rumours persist that the Administrators, Leonard Curtis, are to open negotiations with other bidders due to frustrations over delays in finishing the deal that was announced more than two months ago.
