News Round-Up

Rotherham are reported to have had a bid accepted for Rochdale striker Adam Le Fondre. The former Stockport man scored 18 goals last term, often from the bench, and was again on the bench for their match today. Notts County are claimed to be the side that has led to Northampton defender Danny Jackman putting in a transfer request.

Chester are to cut their Centre of Excellence due to their ongoing funding issues. Kettering's chairman says all Conference sides will get a vote on whether to accept them into the division, while local press claim the FA will only affiliate the old company rather than Stephen Vaughan's Chester City 2004 Ltd, meaning that Chester are likely to spend a good chunk of the season in Administration. They can spend 18 months in Administration under FA rules, and the move is likely so that the reasons for the taxman overturning their CVA can be fully investigated by various authorities.
