Turner talks about ground development

Hereford United Chairman Graham Turner has given a long interview to the Official Hereford United Website which can be watched at http://www.herefordunited.co.uk/ about the development of the Blackfriars Terrace.

The former Bulls' boss spoke about how commerical development would hopefully follow the ground development, "The Richardson's think that development can be put around the football facilities which our architect emphasised in his drawings."

Although the capacity of 2,000 for the new stand is currently being discussed, Turner hopeful that this could be extended depending on the final costs. He was also hopeful that it would be completed by the end of the current season with work taking around six months.

"It won't kill the club, with our contribution, which will be considerable", continued Turner, who went onto say that it wouldn't affect the wage budget or John Trewick's plans this season.

Hereford fall into the second group of the football stadia development grant, which should see the club receive up to £750,000 which Turner believes will be 50% of the overall cost.

Finally, Turner has already held talks with one company who may be interested in sponsoring the stand.
