Confirmation of the signing of Darren Jones from Forest Green has given Hereford United manager John Trewick five of the six defenders he thinks he will need this coming season.
And he has told BBC Hereford and Worcester that he feels Jones is 'more than capable' of making the step up from Conference to Leasue Two football.
"He's had four good years with Forest Green and was club captain.
"Very resiliant, resolute type player, strong powerful. Can play right back, centre back as well and as a holding player in mid-field.
"He gives us a little bit of flexibility.
"So I've got five out of six defenders I'm looking for."
