Bury expect to add released Carlisle striker Danny Carlton to their ranks in addition to Ryan Lowe. He is best remembered to Bulls fans as a Morecambe striker.

Bradford are claimed to be signing Rochdale defender Simon Ramsden after he rejected a new deal at Spotland. Midfielder Lee Bullock has agreed a new deal with the Bantams after accepting a pay cut, with four more having until the end of the week to agree to new terms. Dagenham are claimed to have lost the services of Danny Foster, Ben Strevens, and Sam Saunders with all three claimed by Sky Sports to be having medicals at Brentford. Accrington have won a reprieve from their tax debt. They now have a 12 month repayment plan for the outstanding £300,000 and will have to cut budgets accordingly. The winding up order has only been postponed rather than dismissed, with the taxman waiting for the club to prove they can keep up repayments before the matter is finished.

Crewe are one of a number of clubs chasing Shrewsbury's Kelvin Langmead. The defender is also wanted by a number of League One sides, with the Railwaymen wanting to spend the money earned from selling striker Tom Pope on bolstering their defence. Bournemouth remain on course to be sold, but owner Paul Baker has asked the preferred bidder to clarify some details.

Northwich have won their appeal against demotion from the Conference. They sucessfully argued that they had given notice to apply for Administration before the deadling and will remain in Conf North with a 10 point deduction next season. Gareth Sheldon was made to feel wanted by new boss Carl Heggs. The pair played together for Tamworth, with Heggs saying: 'If they gave ASBOs for trying I'd be getting one. I phoned him up 50 times, I went round his house, I begged him, I made him feel special'

Departed Darlington defender Alan White has blamed the Administrators at the club for him, and several other players, leaving the stricken club. He told the local press that he had heard nothing from them for weeks after being told he could leave. He is the fifth player to depart, with Neil Austin confirmed as no.6 this afternoon with Hartlepool announcing his signing. Oxford expect to lose £200,000 in the current year after losing £800,000 the previous season.
