Rochdale have announced that full back Simon Ramsden is to leave the club after agreeing to a new deal elsewhere. The unnamed club is said to have given the player an offer far beyond Rochdale's financial capability, but they have signed Accrington goalkeeper Kenny Arthur after he chose them over a new deal there.

Accrington hope to get the OK today from the taxman over their repayment plan, with the winding up hearing due to be heard tomorrow. Skipper Peter Cavanagh has opted to put himself on the transfer list due to their ongoing financial problems. He had agreed a new contract with the club but won't sign until their problems are resolved. Lincoln have signed former Man Utd youngster Chris Fagan and expect to sign Macclesfield's Gareth Evans with a tribunal to set a fee. Forward Fagan has spent time with Glenn Hoddle's academy side since leaving Old Trafford, while fellow front man Evans scored 20 times in 89 games for the Silkmen.

Bradford are giving a trial to Guiseley striker James Hanson, who scored 44 times for the Northern Premier side over the last two seasons, with manager Stuart McCall admitting that he will have to scour the non-league scene for bargains this summer. Port Vale are looking for a player-coach rather than assistant boss in order to stretch their budget.

Weymouth say they cannot afford Administration after their financial position worsened considerably after the bank withdrew their overdraft facility. Darlington are to sign Carlisle midfield pair Chris Lumsdon and Jeff Smith after their release from Brunton Park. Shrewsbury have signed released Brighton striker Jake Robinson on a two year deal.

Cheltenham are offering perimeter advertising on a buy one, get one half price basis in order to try to cover the gaps at Whaddon Road.
