Details of the draw for the first round of the League Cup (Carling Cup) have emerged.
The draw will take place next Tuesday June 16th at 9.30am. Some 70 clubs go into the hat. All the Premiership clubs plus Newcastle and Middlesbrough, the highest placed teams relegated from that league last season, will each have a bye.
As before the clubs will be split into seeded and non-seeded clubs, Hereford United being non-seeded. And the first round will be regionalised.
The Bulls will therefore will be drawn against either a Championship club including West Brom or a League One side that finished in the top thirteen of League One last season.
The ties will be played during the first week or the new season probably on August 11th or 12th. All ties will be settled on the night.
Hereford United are number 29 in the draw.
