40 Pence to watch Luton

Admittedly you have to be under 17 and accompanied by an adult, but if you fall into that category you can watch Luton Town's FA Cup game on Saturday for just 40 pence.

The Hatters are playing Altrincham whose junior supporters can also watch for just 40 pence.

The tickets do not have to be purchased in advance either. It's all pay on the gate.

Luton are currently bottom of League Two and have had well-documented financial problems but they are trying to keep alive interest in the club. Their home gates for League games are around 6,000.

Recently Dragon's Den panelist James Caan visited Luton but wasn't persuaded to invest in the club.

"It is evident to me that the credit crisis is not just effecting the British ecomony but it is also effecting football clubs," said Caan.

"They are not something I would invest in but football clubs are such an integral part of their local community.

"To me saving football clubs is just as important as saving the banks."
