Andy Woolmer is to referee Yeovil's FA Cup game with Stockport County on Saturday.
Woolmer refereed the recent game at Millwall where Hereford United were the visitors. That evening he sent two players off including Nick Chadwick.
He hasn't excited the Yeovil Ciderspace website too much either.
He was in charge of a home game when Scunthorpe were the visitors.
"A candidate for the worst official to visit Huish Park this season" they reported.
Never a website to miss an opportunity to have a go at Hereford, they finished their article with a pat on the back for Woolmer.
Mr Woolmer does have his plus side though - our friends at Hereford United utterly loathe him. This stems from a 2003-04 Conference Play-Off Semi-Final when he red-carded Andy Tretton for a professional foul during the Edgar Street leg. Despite the decision appearing to be the correct (if wholly accidental) one as Tretton lost his bearings and collided with an Aldershot Town striker, he was given the blame for the incident, resulting in alleged damage to his car after the game, and stewards having to protect him from an irate fan who invaded the pitch. The postman's name is consequently mud in that part of the Welsh borders. Which is nice.
