News Round Up

Oldham have seen a second major sponsor go into Administration. Car dealers Horners follow Hillstone Developments into trouble with the club admitting that the loss of Horners will affect their finances this season with utility costs spiralling. The Manchester based dealers had backed the club for ten years.

Shrewsbury have Guy Madjo back in training after failing to seal a deal in the Netherlands, but are expected to loan striker James Constable to Oxford for the coming season. Bristol Rovers are also expected to send forward Lewis Haldane to the Kassam Stadium for the season. Yeovil have re-signed former midfielder Darren Way from Swansea for £50,000. He was sold to the Swans for £150,000 two and a half years ago but has had a torrid time with injury since.

Peterboro have agreed a 'substantial fee' for an un-named right winger, but are struggling to free up wages under the capping rules. Transfer listed winger Josh Low, one of their highest earners, has rejected a move to Swindon on financial grounds. The Posh have given a trial to Paul Coutts, the Scottish Highland League player of the year. Bradford are claiming that the asking price for Halifax striker Jon Shaw, newly arrived at Rochdale, was £60,000.

Aldershot have agreed terms with a new sponsor, renaming their ground in the process. A local paper company will see the club now play at 'The EBB Stadium at the Recreation Ground'. Stockport have signed Crewe keeper Owain Fon Williams with a fee to be decided. The young Welshman rejected a new deal with the Railwaymen.
