The fee for Gary Hooper is now being touted at £125,000 by the press.
The Scunthorpe Telegraph claims the Irons agreed a fee of only £50,000 for Hooper last week, but Stockport and Cheltenham have forced the price up after selling their own star strikers with the asking price now £125,000.
Hooper is understood to have travelled to Stockport yesterday to hear what they had to say, having already visited Cheltenham and Scunthorpe last week. The Bulls pulled out of negotiations last week with Graham Turner saying the bidding had reached three times what the Bulls were able to pay, suggesting that a fee of around £40,000 had been agreed by the Bulls.
