Chesterfield have signed Sheff Utd youngster Lloyd Kerry on loan for a month.
He will go straight into the squad for today's game at Edgar Street. The Chesterfield born midfielder played seven times for Torquay at the end of last season during two months at Plainmoor.
In other news, Mansfield have signed defender Keith Briggs until the end of the season. The former Stockport man had a brief spell at Shrewsbury, scoring against the Bulls at Edgar Street in his only start. The official Stags website describes the move as a loan from the Shrews, but Briggs is a free agent after not signing a contract for Gary Peters' strugglers.
