Shergar awarded a nine at Spotland

Whilst the stats showed a pretty even game, there was no doubt who deserved the victory last night at Spotland as Hereford United converted four of their eight shots on target whilst Rochdale could only score from two of their nine attempts.

However those two goals were both scored from corners which will worry Graham Turner.

Possession was assessed as 50% to each side.

Attendance was 2884 with an estimated 200 vocal fans, later confirmed by Rochdale as 175, following Hereford.

No players were booked.

Emergency loan striker Sherjill MacDonald (Shergar) was awarded a nine for his performance, all the other Hereford players received sevens.

A few other pluses from Spotland - sensible stewarding, a good pitch which no doubt helped the Bulls, and reasonable catering.
