Dale fans leave early

Hundreds of Rochdale supporters left Spotland early last night as the Bulls put on another excellent away performance.

"We can see you sneaking out," was the serenade from the travelling support.

Many of the locals missed the second 'Dale goal which was scored right at the end of the game. Not that the home support was that high anyway.

And being spread over three stands they failed to create much backing for the home team, who deserved better.

Again, much like so many other lower League teams, it is difficult to see how Rochdale can make ends meet with so poor support.

And they have got an excellent stadium.

Meanwhile as reported earlier the gates last night were poor throughout League Two. Of the 10 games played there was just one home win, two draws and no fewer than seven away wins.

It's quite possible that the number of away wins might be affecting gates.
