Down the bottom, Dagenham end their brief stay in the drop zone with a 6-2 demolition of freefalling Chester. Mansfield replace them after losing 2-1 at home to Morecambe. Bury earned a valuable point with a 2-2 draw with Wycombe who surrendered a two goal lead.
In other games Lincoln beat Accrington 3-0 to move above them in the table, Brentford beat Barnet 2-1 despite playing half the game with ten men, and rising Grimsby beat Macclesfield 2-1.
