It's not just the Bulls who are wondering where the supporters have gone after tonight's attendance figures.
Gates were down, on average, over 300 on the home clubs' average gates this season. Only Barnet, hosting local rivals Brentford, bettered their average attendance while both Dagenham and Notts County posted new lows.
The Daggers become the fourth side to record a gate of under 1,500 this season, while Accrington recorded the second worst attendance of the season with just 1,281. Even Macclesfield, who gave away over 1500 free tickets for tonight's game to those that attended last week's home match, recorded a worse than average figure.
The figures become more worrying when the Football League programme of matches went virtually unopposed for televised football. The only match on TV was Torquay's game with Weymouth in the Conference.
With the Champions League restarting next week attendances are expected to suffer even more. The Bulls have only one home match, with Wrexham next Tuesday, in direct competition with the likes of Liverpool vs Inter Milan. With the League's bottom club hardly an attraction, despite the obvious rivalry between the sides, another low attendance can be expected.
