Graham Turner has issued a statement responding to Carshalton's complaints over the handling of the signing of winger Jack MacLeod.
The statement, in full on the official site, claims Carshalton pressurised MacLeod to sign a deal with them, with interest coming also from Bristol Rovers: "We attempted for quite some time to arrange for Jack to attend training and play in a reserve match for us, it became clear that a time could not be found for this to happen."
Turner also notes that the Bulls acted within the rules: "It became apparent that through negotiations we were not making any progress, we therefore took the decision to serve seven days notice of approach on Carshalton, something that is quite within the rules for a non-contract player."
