News Round Up

Ex-Bull Adam Stansfield scored twice as Exeter beat Oxford 2-0 in last night's televised Conference game. Stansfield was only in the side after Jamie Mackie was dropped after handing in a transfer request, with fellow ex-Bulls Bertrand Cozic and Alex Jeannin both on the bench for their respective sides. An awful Oxford side fielded six teenagers in their side with four suspended and several injured. Since Darren Patterson became manager, Oxford have won only four of 16 games - scoring in only five of them.

Darlington boss Dave Penney has signed a new deal with the club. The new contract will run until the summer of 2011, a two year extension on his current deal. Bradford have given winger Omar Daley a new contract until 2011. The Jamaican international has played in every League Two game for the Bantams this season. They are also signing Sheff Utd full back Ben Starosta on loan after he completed a similar deal at Brentford.

Shrewsbury's youth team is £25,000 better off after one of their fans won one of the top prizes in the latest Coca-Cola promotion. A second £25,000 prize went to Walsall after an Aston Villa fan won it and could only give it to a Football League side. MK Dons have released striker John Hastings by mutual consent with six months left on his contract. The former Tooting forward is the sixth player to leave the franchise club in the January window.

Bury's caretaker boss Chris Brass is being 'helped out' by former Wigan and Bradford manager Chris Hutchings. Brentford have signed Charlton defender Osei Sankofa on a months loan. He has played around 20 times in the Premiership and Championship.
