News Round Up

Rushden boss Garry Hill missed yesterday's court appearance over his ABH charge stemming from their match with Salisbury in which he headbutted Tommy Widdrington. Hill is said to be suffering from a kidney stone and was too unwell to appear.

Peterboro have released defender Guy Branston after Northampton decided not to extend his loan spell. The two parties have agreed a settlement. Bournemouth have been given a cash boost after utility man Paul Telfer decided to tear up his contract. The veteran played in the top flights in England and Scotland but was not going to play again this season through injury.

Wycombe have ended the loan spell of former Scotland keeper Rab Douglas. His only game for the club came last week against the Bulls. Brentford chief executive Keith Dickens has left the club after apparently being headhunted.

York will not face penalties from the Football Foundation after further delays in seeking a new ground. The agreement for the foundation loan wanted a site identified by the end of this year but that has not happened. The club are paying nearly £3,000 a week in interest on the loan.

Northwich will pay just £25,000 a year rent on their stadium for the next 25 years, but will not retain income from the catering facilities, according to new chairman Jim Rushe. Former chairman Mike Connett retains ownership of the ground.
