One of the pleasures of going to Edgar Street at this time of year is the probability of being able to notice the lovely aroma of cider eminating from the near-by Bulmers site.
Last night for the Mansfield match the weather was quite still and the aroma seemed to linger in the air throughout the game.
Whether the aroma had any effect on Hereford United's performance is uncertain but captain Karl Broadhurst did admit that 'we didn't perform anywhere near how we can'.
Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your point of view, Friday evening's forecast for the Leeds game is for cooler and windier conditions so the aroma may not be noticable.
Meanwhile supporters are reminded that to be able to have a half-time pint in Legends on Friday they should be members.
