Anthony Bates from Staffordshire is to referee Friday's FA Cup game at Edgar Street.
Mr Bates has been in charge of eleven games this season. He has given out 22 yellow cards but no red cards to date.
The last time he officiated a Hereford match was in August 2006 when Chester came to Edgar Street. The Bulls won the game 2-0 and Bates did not use his notebook.
However in his last two games involving Leeds United he has booked 13 players and sent one off.
