Stimson Quits Stevenage

Mark Stimson has resigned as manager of Stevenage, with Gillingham his expected destination.

Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace announced that Stimson had resigned 'after taking legal advice'. Wallace had previously declared that there were heavy penalties in the manager's contract over walking out of the club.

Assistant Scott Barrett will take charge of their next game, but is also expected to leave after working with Stimson for several years.
