With most sides now down to four matches to confirm their destiny for next season, two teams are already assured of a move into League Two next season.
Dagenham confirmed their promotion as Conference Champions with Saturday's win over Aldershot. The win ended a five year wait, and two near misses, for promotion into the professional leagues. Brentford will also join the ranks of League Two sides next season after their loss to Crewe yesterday confirmed their relegation.
In the Conference, eight sides are still chasing the play-offs with Oxford and Morecambe leading the way on 75 points with three games left. Exeter (71) and York (70) hold the remaining spots, but Gravesend can draw level with Exeter if they win their game in hand and Burton, Aldershot, and Stevenage are all still in with a shout.
In League One, Rotherham will need to pick up maximum points from their remaining four games to stand any chance of avoid the drop. The Millers were docked ten points for entering Administration at the start of the season but, even without the penalty, they would have still struggled against the drop.
The remaining two places look to be destined for any of five sides, with Bulls fans likely to be hoping that Bournemouth and Cheltenham are the victims. Bradford are currently four points short, and Chesterfield three, from Cheltenham who sit just outside the drop zone. Bournemouth are three more points above them with Leyton Orient sandwiched inbetween.
Should Bradford make the drop they would be the second former Premiership club to drop down to the bottom tier of the Football League. They slipped out of the top flight in 2001 after a two year stay and financial troubles have seen the club sink further.
