Turner to rearrange defence

The Hereford United manager will need to rearrange his defence for tomorrow's home game with Boston as Dean Beckwith is suspended after receiving a red card at Walsall last Monday.

Graham Turner thinks that Boston will come to Edgar Street determined to try and get three points from the game as they are fighting to stay in League Two.

Turner has several options as he could recall either Phil Gulliver or Richard Rose to partner Tamika Mkandawire. Trent McClenahan should also be available after his Australian duties. However Martyn Giles remains side-lined.

In midfield Steve Jennings, who was on the bench for last weekends games, may be recalled.

There have been reports that both Andy Williams and Rob Purdie has had knocks but, at present, both are expected to be in the Hereford line-up. Whether Tim Sills will return after his suspension remains to be seen.

Meanwhile the Boston manager has spoken about tomorrow's game.

"It is fair to say that Hereford has been a happy hunting ground in previous years, but I don't think that will have a bearing on this weekend's fixture. They are a good side, who have enjoyed their first season back in the Football League," Steve Evans told the official Boston website.

"Our squad has been decimated once more and I wonder just how many more blows we can take. As I always say though, we will patch ourselves up and fight another day and hopefully we can come away form Edgar Street with another good result.

"The battle for survival promises to go to the wire and there will be ups and downs all the way. We've had highs and lows in recent weeks, but let's hope that we are celebrating another high on Saturday evening."

Boston will be playing in their home kit with amber shorts to avoid clashing with the Hereford kit.

Finally Hereford United winger Danny Thomas played for Boston. He joined from Bournemouth in 2004 and stayed for two seasons before moving to Shrewsbury.
